Fire Union @FBEU mobilises across NSW #workchoicesNSW, Update here…

FBEU MEMBER UPDATE Re: Parliament IRC attack

FBEU State Secretary, Jim Casey, about to do press conference with NSW Opposition Leader John Robertson, .

I personally joined Key Unions and lobbied politicians  at a South Coast Business lunch,

The FBEU also has several sub-branches mobilising to MP's offices across NSW.

For those who have read the Dept emails, or had any verbal pressure about use of appliances, the Union instruction is to attend any of the campaign functions, rallies, MP's offices etc, as required, within or adjoining stn areas.

We just took a call from Jeremy Buckingham (Greens MLC, formerly a stone mason from Orange) who will be speaking on the IR law either later today or tomorrow.

As a part of his presentation, he needs the stories of public sector workers and what they go through every day to expose the truth behind O'Farrell's laws. He's looking for accounts of the type of work we do, the difficulties we face, and how trading off on jobs or conditions in order to not go backwards in pay will weaken the service we provide – ultimately making putting both the community, and firefighters, at risk.

If you have a moment could you drop him an email? It doesn't have to be "War and Peace". Just a few lines will help him out enormously.

Thanks comrades. His email is jeremy.buckingham@parliament.nsw.gov.au

If you could cc the union at office@fbeu.net as well we'll compile a list for the records.
