Listening to the PM live from Canberra, finally gives me some belief that the ALP can get things right.

The speech talks about maintaining collective thinking, not fashionable thinking. To return to the basics of the labor movement, and what it stands for. Education, and the social fabric being protected by the collective action of those that care.

"The light on the hill now shines from a lamp on the desk"

This is the speech we needed, this is what we need –  a leader, a party united.

And when the nay-sayers from the right come out and vomit the same popular, easy, fashionable quotes against this type of vision, remember – what do stand for?
