NSW Firefighters strike over workers compensation cuts

Firefighters in NSW have gone on a one-day strike over cuts to the state’s workers’ compensation scheme which would see many payouts halved for workplace injuries. Firefighters doused NSW Parliament House with a high-pressure water cannon and blocked Macquarie Street in the Sydney CBD.
