Suicide Prevention Charity Run
Suicide Prevention Run 7th/8th June 2012
On the 7th/8th June ‘Suicide Prevention Australia’ will be running a treadmill event for 24 hours to raise vital funds for Suicide Prevention Australia. The event will be held at Maroubra Sports Club and kick off on Friday 7th June at 6pm with the treadmills turning over right on the dot.
Anyone can take part. Get down and run/walk with the main team or get your own team involved. There will be 24 hours of entertainment including raffles, auctions, lawn bowls challenge, celebrity cook offs etc and culminating with a huge Saturday night kicking off at 6pm. With a special performance by Oz Music artist of the year for 2012 – Kid Mac.
there will have 3 treadmills running for the 24 hours. 1 will have the 6 people in the main team who are arranging the event. The second will have NRL/AFL/A League/Super Rugby players. The 3rd will have celebrities and identities from all forms of the entertainment industry.
As it stands at the moment they have commitment from many NRL stars and celebrities including –

Mark Matthews (Big wave surfer & star of ‘The Crew’ on fuel tv)
Kid Mac (Oz music artist of the year & star of ‘The Crew” on fuel tv)
Richie ‘Vas’ Vasculik (UFC fighter & star of ‘The Crew’ on fuel tv)
Candice Falzon (Champion Iron Woman)
Bryan Fletcher (NRL legend & star of ‘The footy Show’)
Plus many local identities and other NRL players from The Parramatta Eels, The Wests Tigers and The Sydney Roosters,
They are encouraging everyone to get along and enjoy in the 24 hours. Please if you can spare 1 hour, 2 hours or several hours to get down and challenge the participants or cheer them on.
There are several sponsorship packages as well. If you are able to financially help or donate prizes then please feel free to contact one of the organisers.
All funds and monies raised will go to Suicide Prevention Australia.
