The Rally today against the NSW Government’s callous plan to cut NSW workers compensation conditions drew about 2400 people despite teeming rain. Predictably heavy representation present from an array of NSW Unions with highly visible numbers especially from the Firemans Union and CFMEU – but a larger than ordinary number of independent people with safety and perhaps jobs concerns too. David Shoe bridge for NSW Greens committed to work with Fred Nile if necessary to defeat the proposed laws in the upper house in 2 weeks, and Labor speakers supported, though what they might have done if left in Government is quite another thing. Barry OFarrell either lost his invite or his nerve and was the unsurprising absentee in what’s sure to be a long anti government union campaign.
