FBEU Firefighter Strike for workers comp – June 21 2012

NSW firefighters take unprecedented strike action on June 21, 2012, after the Conservative NSW Govt stripped all NSW workers of their workers comp rights. The NSW Greens moved an amendment to exempt firefighters and paramedics in Parliament as the strike was taking place. The minor parties ‘crossed the floor’ to support the exemption. Victory for firefighters, but the campaign continues for other NSW workers.
